Besides the fact that both of their abusers were apparently male, there is another similiarity between the abused Donohoe and the abused Russell. And that is the effect it had on them

While her abuse may have some effect on her public life, I am thinking more of her private life. A longterm relationship is based on trust, when that trust is abused, such as when one is sexually abused, that trust may be hard if not impossible to regain. That might be why our Amanda has had trouble establishing longterm relationships.

When one is abused as a child, one is usually a submissive in a submissive-dominant relationship. No wonder she now wants to be the dominant. And who is easier to dominant then a young man. No wonder she has currently taken up with boy toys or toyboys.

While his abuse may have had some effect on his private life, I am thinking more of his public life or his making of films. Ever wonder why Kevin the scout or boy scout comes in for such a hard time in "Lair of the White Worm?" That may be because he has said that his abuser was a British scout master. And his treatment of Kevin in the film may be his way of getting back at the British scout movement.
