I presume that everyone has seen Tilda Swinton as the White Witch in "The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."

Does anyone know whether our Amanda audtioned for the part?

How ironic it would be, if she did, and she got beat out by Tilda. For both actresses audtioned for Lady Sylvia Marsh in "Lair of the White Worm," with our Amanda beating out Tilda for that part.

Working for a company that distributes films, both on dvd and videocassete, I know that a part like the White Witch is good for one's career. Not only is it good for one's future career, as it keeps one in the public eye, but it interests people about films previously done. We are already getting questions about Tilda's previous work in "Orlando" and "Constantine."

Actually, it would be interesting, if possible, to see a reversal of roles. To see Tilda as Lady Sylvia Marsh in "Lair of the White Worm" and our Amanda as the White Witch in "The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."

And it is not beyond the realm of possibility, that Tilda may get something that our Amanda has yet to get. And that is an Oscar nomination for Best Supporting Actress for her work in "The Chronicles of Narnia: the Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe."
