Subject: Lert Me try to summerize this in an understandable manner

Okay the old maxim, If it aint broke dont fix it, is a HORRIBLE way of running things. If you expect your clan to progress and better itself then being totally closeminded will not help either.

Now the three man system is fine by me. I was apart of a 2 man system when SH first canme out and it sucked cause i had all the webwork. Now the way the Phule is suggesting SH be organized he wants there to be 3 webpage managers who put the webpage 2nd, even when the council did update the page, more than likely only one or two of them would be really good designers. Im not totally sure how many houses he suggests but Drake said 6 in our chat posted below so that is what ill assume.

For a New Born clan I think six is too many. I think that no matter which way we work the council that the number of houses in HS be directly porportionate to the number of active members. Perhaps a 10 to 1 ratio or 15 to 1 ratio. Now, hypothetically lets say we had 100 members and 10 houses. Phules method we would have 3 members working halfheartedly on the webpage and 10 houses that were little different besides their name, members, and rank. Their house section on the page would look as generic as all the other houses and the council would be in charge of keeping tabs on it as their second piority.

My method has the same scenario but now we have the housemasters updating the two sections of their house, house information, and house members. Now realisitcally it would not be hard for a HM to update his own members table if he only had 20-25 members on it. It would be a whole lot easier for everyone if ranks and members were split between 10 updaters rather than 3. It would also eliminate the council as the middlman. Many times chip or naz would tell me to go and give their members a medal. Now if i was giving my own huosemembers a medal that would give me greater response time and keep the memebrs in my house happy. I would also create my own house info and house member layout on the webpage. Not only would clan have different ranks, they would also have different stlyes and atmoshperes. You could join the house with the dark page with cool java buttons, or the house with the col looking background and dragon gifs. Also the houses would have much more power than the council, since the council would still exist be would consit of elected HM's.

Now the hardest part about clan gov is passing new rules, amendments, and colloraies. I purpose a website based system rather than a ICQ or email based system. Many times people missed important meetings due to b.net Fing with them. now im not saying abolish meetings, they show clan activity, a good gathering point, a storng showing is good for morale, ect. Im just saying that the major issues should be listed in a way that HM can think about it and hopefully even discuss it with their higher ups in their onw house. I think the webpage would be a better way of displaying clan wide information.

Now i suggested a week for a rule to be placed into effect. Whichever house is purposing the rule would be responsible of alerting all the other HM's. If we couldnt get ahold of a HM then we would naturally turn to the 2nd in command of that house but really if the HM was gone that guy would be calling the shots for that house anyways and if the HM showed up in time of corse the 2nd would tell him whats up and let him get filled in. Phule the same thing you mentioned is even worse in a 3 man council. I one person is gone for a weekend and as drake said in our chat its good for decisions to get made quick that AWOL council member would be shit outa luck.
