Subject: The Phule is EXTREMELY annoyed....

If there are any college Freshmen in the house, please don't take this personally, but you have the dubios honor of being a member of the single stupidest group of people on the planet.

Maybe it's just at Valpo, I don't know. Tell me folks....do you see the value in unloading a fire extinquisher in a computer lab? I mean...there's a purpose to it, right?

Then these bright folks decided to run up and down halls spraying the foam EVERYWHERE as they went, setting off the firealarms. Now, the fire alarms couldn't just be turned off, since they kept detecting smoke, so had to be totally shut off, and that means that the RA's and House Council get to do FIRE WATCH...meaning they get to walk up and hold the halls making sure nothing starts burning.

It took housekeeping 30 man-hours to clean up the mess, and 3 of them had to be taken to the hospital due to the amount of smoke they inhaled in the process.

Add in all the equipment that needs to be replaced in the lab (fire retardent works WONDERS for hardware, doncha know) and damages are in the thousands.

I can only thank God this didn't happen in MY dorm, but I had to help keep the little froshies in line while they waited outside, acting as though thier civil liberties are being crushed.

In addition, one of the lounges in this dorm...specifically, the one on 4th floor, has no TV. It broke down over the summer, and hasn't been replaced yet.

The 4th floor (yet more Freshmen) decided this was a travesty, and if they weren't treated as equals, and soon, they've be forced to take drastic action. Now, they say that they aren't being treated as equals 'cause the TV hasn't shown up (it's not like anyone would actually WATCH it...nobody ever watches lounge TV's).

So, in the name of equality, they go up to 5th Floor and steal thiers. Well...5th floor gets rather upset (it's easy enough to figure out where the TV went, seeing as "BRANDT 5th" is writte on the side in white lettering) and stacks all of 4th floors lounge furniture in the 4th floor bathroom. They broke the chain holding the TV to the wall, which, ironically, means that although the TV arrived today, it cannot be installed until a new chain arrives, which will take between 3 and 4 weeks.

4th Floor wasn't too happy with this, and although it's directly thier fault, they don't see it as such, and stole the TV from the basement.

As one of the only House Council members in the dorm at the time, I got to handle it. ::mumbles somthing about incompetant RA's:: I swear...RA's here are so worthless....
