Although it does not seem as though you are overly excited by the progress of Warcraft2: Battle.net Edition, you should probably know that it went Gold yesterday, and should be in stores soon.

In the past, people have asked me what it means to say "Went Gold" so I shall explain.

It is custom for a computer company, upon completing a game, (meaning no more changes save those of patches later down the road), to make a representation of the CD out of gold. This has no real purpose other than psychological. Once the gold caste is made, the game is done, and is ready to ship.

If you look inside Blizzard HQ, you'll probably see something that looks like a normal CD, only made of gold, for Warcraft 2, Diablo, Starcraft, and possibly Brood War.

Now, Warcraft2: BNE will join them, and will soon (we hope) be followed by Diablo 2 and Warcraft 3. Gotta love it.

I, for one, would like to play Warcraft2 on battle.net, so I plan on making this purchase. You all should too, because I said so. :-P

"Star Trek: Indescretion 2"

"Aw man, they made another dirty Star Trek movie?"

"Well, I don't mind. How many places can you see a Vulcan wearing a strap-on saying 'This is no logical?'"

"As few places as possible, I would hope."
