That seems a bit harsh. I would think that if someone was forwarding jokes on, that it would be from a friend. Perhaps your friends (?) should know how you feel. I would bet that they weren't intentionally sending them to you to annoy you, but to include you in on the topic/joke.

Perhaps if you let your friends know that you would rather not receive their chain jokes, stories, etc., they won't include you anymore. Or if you aren't up for the confrontation, you could just delete their messages without reading them. Or if you did inform them that you don't want their jokes and stories and they continue to send them to you anyway, you can have their e-mail messages blocked and then you won't have to even have to bother with any of the above anymore.

Just a thought.
