Subject: Here's why its been so difficult to get to and post on the Boards the last few days

Important Boards2Go.com Information!

MHPC,

As you have probably noticed, our servers have been bogged down by enormous amounts of traffic. Since early last week, members have been complaining about the load time of their message boards. This email is to let you know the situation at boards2go.com .

Recently boards2go.com joined the danworld.net network. In doing this they promised us that they would host our site on their extremely fast servers. This means that boards2go.com will be hosted on a extremely fast server. The downside to this is that it will not happen for a couple of weeks. The servers have arrived, but they have not yet been set up (the system admins haven't gotten around to it yet because they have many servers to set up). We can't give an accurate estimate to when the new servers will be ready, but my guess is two to three weeks tops.

During the server change, you might experience some downtime. This is unavoidable. It probably will be no more than 2-3 hours (done in the wee hours of the night). After the server change it will take some time for the DNS to update so expect not to be able to post very long messages at first (we have to relay the messages between two servers in order to avoid longer downtime). Also, if you find that your message board is not the way it was before the server change, please email us. We will try to recover your old board from the old server.

Also, we have 2 new features. You are now able to view/delete your registered users/passwords. And you can turn on flood control (only 1 post by an individual every 60 seconds).

Lastly, please support our sponsors by clicking on a banner everytime you visit your message boards. I can't stress enough that in order to keep this service free, we need to keep our sponsors happy.
