Dear Cher,
Dr. Engels and Dr. Askanas from USC, Good Sam. Hospital, at down town Los Angeles, California, have done a lot of work on the histopathogy of vacuolar myopathies. They noted that oxidative stress may play a role in the pathological basis of the vacuolar myopathy syndromes. The anti-oxidants that are recommended are those that seems to be very active inside the skeletal muscle cells:

Enzyme CoQ-10
Grape Seed Extract
Vit E, usually taken with Orange Juice (vit C is synergistic)

...are some that are generally recommended. You can usually take two to three times the recommended daily allowance without side effects. Make sure you also ask your doctor regarding changing your current medications/nutrition/vitamins because he/she may know things about your current condition of which I may be unaware.

All the best
