Subject: Is HIBM Strictly a Jewish-Middle Eastern Gene?

I just had a muscle biopsy done for a "Hereditary Myopathy" To my knowledge I am of Swedish descent. However I am adopted so anything is possible. The pattern of weakness seems right as does the age of onset. I guess it is best to just wait but I wanted to complement you on your comprehensive site. I was just curious if people of other nationalities are prone to this disease?
