the girl walks in unasuredly, looking for her mare once more, then spying her.
she walks quickly ove rto the stall she is in and unbolts the door, letting herself in, hugging the mare, who pulls her ears back lazily, rubbing her head against the sixteen-year-old
'settling in alright, Lay?'
she rubs the mare affectionately across her slightly-crooked blaze
'How 'bout we go work on longeing?'
she takes a lead rops hanging off of the doorway and clips in onto the mares halter, opening the stall and leading her out and into the small arena outside
she positions herself in the canter of the ring, clucking her tongue gently, lashing the air slightly behind the Toroughbred gently as she begins to trot
'Good girl, Laney, keep it up'
the mare heads into a canter
