Saturday
Definately the busiest day of the con, took forever just to get dropped off. Only Tracie and I that time. And we had a big day ahead of us. First off we just decided to try and actually buy something, rather than holding it off to the last minute. (we did anyway, but that's fine) I remembre getting anything though. (This is the price I ay for being a slacker) I think Tracie might have gotten something, but I dunno. Anyway, I DO remember going to the Futurama panel thanks to Tracie's undying love for the show. We got to see an unaired episode, it was pretty good, and got to meet most of the cast and Matt G. I won't bother attempting to spell his name, but you know, the creator of the simpsons. Then we were off to explore the floor once again. I think by then I dicovered that Neil Gaiman wasn't going to signing that day like they said he would, so that was a bit of a pooper. BUT that just ment that if I didn't see him on suday I'd be likely to shoot myself. Fun! So I do remember us stopping by the Chen's booth at artist alley. In case you don't know who they are, I comand you to go here!!! http://www.jo-chen.com/ she is a f**king amazing artist from china and you better know it!! She wasn't there however, but her ever so bubbily sister Christina was however, and is equally as good as her sister. Tracie and her started a talking, and Tracie showed her portfolio, which Christina liked a lot, so much in fact enough to give Tracie a free print of one of fantabulous art pieces. So Tracie and her are like this now *crosses fingers in order to show their tightness* ;p It'd be so cool if she went next year and remembered us. ^_^ What else did we do?? I know we had a really late lunch, which made us forget what time it was, and so we missed the Cartoon Voice-Over actors thing and thus meaning we missed the oppurtunity to meet the one and only Mark Hamill (that's Luke Skywalker for all you non star wars folk) but that was okay. I think the one thing Tracie had in mind to see was the creator of Home Movies, I don't know what his name is cause I'm not cool like that. So I was weird and ditched Tracie in his long as line, and I went off and got my HELLBOY T-SHIRT!!!!!!! Which is slowly but shearly becoming my favorite t-shirt, meaning my Small Soldiers one may have to be retired. I went back to let Tracie know that I was still alive, and told that I'd be "circling" the floor. But little old me got all caught up in the prints of old movie posters, they were sopurdy, I'm d**n proud of the ones I picked, if they were small enough I'd scan them or ya, but I'm not sure if they'll fit on my scanner. so yeah, I don't know how long I stayed there, but long enough to find out that Tracie was long gone and I had no idea where she was. After a while I figured that she must be in the Adult Swim panel, so I headed on over there, I paused for a second to get out my program thingy to find out switch room it was in, but alas!! Tracie still had mine from when I gave it to her at lunch!!! So I went around the panel area twice, TWICE!! But I couldn't figure out where it was, so I finally gave up and went downstairs. Then I saw the bulliten board and it showed where it was, so I had til the end of the con to meet up with her, since that's when it finished, so I might as well make good of it. So began my quest for Sandman Vol.1 At one point I got distracted and saw the Oni booth, and I knew I had to pick up my copy of Kissing Chaos: Nonstop Beauty before it was too late, then what was more luck, Arthur Dela Cruz was there!! So I stopped by, said Hi to him, he remembered me from last year of course, chatted a bit, and got super cool sketch from him. So my search continued and all up til the con ended I could not find one single copy of it, everyone was sold out. I was depressed. but I nabbed myself a copy of Death: The high Cost of living and I was on my way up to meet Tracie. Oh, before I forget, another slightley depressing event of the evening, Micheal Turner was doing sketches, and I didn't know it.......*cries* I was too busy worrying about Tracie that I couldn't even check to see if they had capped his line. Ah well, I'll just be sure to check next year. So I met up with Tracie and it was off to call my mom. Later I had to go to my friend's B-day party and she was kind enough to let Tracie tag along. Good fun, played monopoly, I play to lose, I get my park place, and boardwalk and it's all down hill from there. I gave up all but two dollars for boardwalk!! Two dollars!! We stopped eventually and ate cake and open presents and watched people inhaleing helium. Whee!! and then Tracie and I left for we had another big day the next day.
