Part II
so lessee, Thursday.....
well can't remember much since, you know, I'm an idiot. BUT i do remember that we went to a panel at the end of the day that was about review sites or something or another, I sorta new what they were talking about but not really seeing as how I only knew who one of them was, the one and only Augie De Blieck from CBR!!!! Cool guy, sarcastic, I like sarcastic people, they're funny, all except for Jerry Seinfield, he should just die. So then we went home, and I was tired, as usual, so I went to bed early.
Fri.
Got up earlier, so we could get there earlier, but we were delayed but my friend Lauren, but it was fine. Got there in time, and our day started. First thing first go to the Judd Winick, Geoff Johns panel to meet Chris Siddall and Hayato!! Found Hayato first, but of course I didn't know what he looked like so I walked right past him, but course Tracie recognized him and introduced us. Only knowing him a little wasn't such a bad thing, cause he was f**king hilarious!! He'd been there since, like 4 am or something just waiting in line. he told us of his woes of standing in line next to total comic geeks and the like. After a while Chris showed up, great guy. English people are cool, I wish I was english...*sob* gave me my Francis Manapuel () sketch that Phil was so kind as to get it for me randomly last year. And I gave him Phil's stuff from Japan. Chatted for a bit, and then the panel started. I was mildly interested, this is what my lack of comic knowledge does for me. The whole while Tracie was drawing Phil's bunny sketch in his sketch book that he had had Chris bring. At the end, Tracie gave sketch book back, said bye to Chris, and Hayato, Tracie, Lauren and me were off on our adventure. First thing first was trying to meet Frank Cho, which I did, but he sucked by not doing sketches, *hiss* so yeah, pretty much the whole day was just chillin with hayato, neither Tracie or I got any sketches. OH! there was one thing that we did that was fun and exciting, the Quick Draw panel! It's like Who's Line is it anyway but for artists. Improv basically. Very very very very funny nuts. The artists were Sergio Aragones (MAD, Groo the Wanderer), definately stole the show, so d**n funny, Scott Shaw, (Oddball Comics), Kyle Baker (King David), and Jim Lee (Batman). Definately got to remember to go next year. What else did we do...oh yeah, went to the UDON panel, you know, the cool guys making that kick ass Street Fighter comic, that was neat, I actually sorta new what they were talking about. so wheee!! other than that, we pretty much spent our time wandering the floor, Tracie got her picture with Pikachu!!! It was sooooooo funny, all it could do was move it's legs and move it's arms up and down sorta, it was great!!! Good times, good times. For lunch we found the street that we had been looking for on thursday, and I discovered the greatness that was the resturant Pat and Oscar's a not really all that Italian resturant, good pizza though. and cheap. So we chilled there, for our late lunch. Practically choked at Hayato's hilariousness. And his bit of a potty mouth, but that's fine, we hear it 3 times as bad at school every day, it wasn't that big of a deal. Spent the last our wandering the floor once more, Hayato was disapointed in that a very nice looking Jason (Friday 13th) figure would not be on sale til August. But getting a complete set of Transformer posters from the dreamwave booth cheered him up I think. And getting his picture taken at Crystal Lake (Friday 13th) probly cheered him up too. ^_^ So we parted ways at 7. when the floor closed.
