Nik just gave her a weird look. He was totally confused.
"I'm telling you, I just saw what looked like you getting an electric sho...ck...It's happening again!"
Nik stood there, scanning his body. Nothing appeared wrong with him. Matter of fact, he felt energetic. His sleepiness had finally left him, and he was in the mood to go run a couple of miles.
"Sarah, your eyes are playing tricks on you. I'm fine," Nik said.
"No! No! It's coming through the ceiling...wait a minute..."
Sarah ran out of the room. Nik was left there, being quite confused. He was just standing there when the statue entered his mind. When he had touched it, there had been a little zap. It was immediately afterward that Sarah had reacted the way that she did. The thought was a bit farfetched, seeing as how Nik hadn't really felt much of anything, much less pain. And when he had stepped away, the 'electricity' had continued to flow, at least according to her. Yet even when he tried to dismiss the thought, it lingered in the back of his mind.
Sarah ran through the doorway, catching Nik deep in thought. He hardly realized that she was there until she grabbed his arm.
"Nik...the energy is coming from the moon! What did you do?!" Sarah exclaimed.
Nik snapped out of la-la land and looked at her. Should he bring up the statue? She obviously knew much more about what was going on then he did.
"I touched your statue...could that have something to do with it?"
"My statue?" She looked over towards the vampire with it's teeth deep inside the neck of some poor unfortunate woman. "I don't see how it could."
Sarah tried to step away from him, but her arm refused. She looked at where she had been holding him. Her eyes widened.
"I....I can't let go!" Sarah yelled. She began to panic, and she wrestled to free herself from Nik's arm. Nik was unsure what to do, as he was still in a state of complete confusion. Suddenly, Sarah dropped to the ground as her hand released from his arm. Nik rushed to help her up.
"It's...it's gone...." Sarah said. Nik still had no clue as to what was going on. He held her in his arms, and then she fainted.
