Looking up at Lans, he closed his eyes as the other prince touched his head, then opened them again as he left. He gave a small nod to his back, then felt Cephis grab his arm. Looking down he saw the merc's face and returned the nod, a little bit late though. With a sigh, he stood back up and looked around the ship.
"We should be arriving soon, prepare for landing and departure." Marcius said to the Guardians, then he walked over to the survivors, looking them over.
When the sargeant noticed the prince was walking over, he called them to attention and saluted. "Sir! It is an honor to be rescued by you!"
Marcius shook his head a bit and sighed. "I'm not a stickler for formalities in the field, sargeant." Nonetheless, Marcius returned the salute so he could bring down his hand. "And it was hardly just me...you have as much to thank the flight crew for coming and you should thank the mercenary just as well, for he was the one that actually went to get you all." Marcius shrugged and looked over the soldiers. "You all fought well. You were pinned, but you never gave up. You're good soldiers of the Empire. I'll see to it you're rewarded." He gave them all a smile, then laid his hands on each of them and cast minor healing spells top take off largest of their pains.
The soldiers, all battle haggard, dusty, and bloody, blinked as he performed his spells on each then smiled as he went to the other. They were all young, none even as old as he. And yet they had stayed there and fought without questioning...and they had done it well. Marcius' heart swelled with pride. They were the pinnical of the average Imperial soldier...fighting wherever, whenever, and whatever was needed, no matter the chances, no matter difficulties. He'd make sure they were well treated.
"Captain here, we'll be arriving in one minute. Prepare for landing. We're almost in friendly skies." The intercom clicked off.
