i walked into the barn and turned on the light. i got out my saddle,pad,girth,and briddle. Next, I got flick out.
"Good morning flick. How was your sleep last night?"I asked him. i groomed him and then got out my mom's lunge line. i took my tack and put it on the ring fence. Mom suggested that I "join up" with flick before I saddled him. i took the lunge line and pitched it at Flick's rear. The motion scared him. He turned and faced me. 'Go on! git!" I told him. He cantered around the ring He almost immedatatly picked his inside ear toward me. This was the first sign of the join up. Next, he lowarded his head and began licking and chewing. I dropped the lunge line and turned my back to him. i could feel his gaze on me. i heard his footsteps coming closer until I felt a warm breath on my neck. I turned around and rubbed his face. to make sure it had worked, I walked away from him. He followed me closely. I even tried to run away from him but he stayed close. I gently placed the saddle on his back and did up the girth.
He stood like a rock.I then put on my helmet and briddled him. then, i led him to the mounting block were I mounted. I asked him to walk on. He was a bit unsure at first but he did walk on. I gave him a pat to tell him how good he was. We walked all over the farm, on the trails, in the rings,on the cross country courses. i took him to the all purpose ring were I asked him to trot. He trotted gently. after a bit I asked him to walk. I dimounted and untacked hi. i gave him a treat. and then put him in his stall. i brought Courage in and groomed him. I fed the horses and watered them. I did their stalls. Then I groomed Mini. Courage and Mini were going to a show today. I worked with Kat some and then Mom walked in...
