Jasmine mounted the spirited chestnut Hanoverian mare, Fire Music.Music was her new horse.She did 3-day eventing, showjumping & dressage.This 16.3 hand Hanoverian was very fiery & hot, she jumped 5 feet & did 2nd level dressage."Your sure excited today," Jasmine told her horse.The 18 year old girl patted Music on the neck & squeezed her into a walk.After 15 mintues, Jasmine had warmed up Music at a walk, trot & canter.Her mom, Dana, walked into the outdoor jumping arena & waved hello to Jasmine."Hey mom," Jasmine called.Dana said to Jasmine "like I said, I'm just going to coach you today.You don't exactly need lessons anymore because your to good of a rider, but you should take lessons sometimes.I'm just going to see how you do this jump course & tell you if your not doing very well through some spots & help you correct your mistakes etc. etc." Jasmine nodded & said "ok." Dana set a 5 foot single & a 4'-9" oxer down to 3'-6" & had Jasmine jump Musci over them as a warm-up.Once Jasmine had done that.Dana said "you can do the jump course now." Jasmine nodded & got Music to canter.Music made a giant leap over the first jump, a 5 foot oxer, & cantered on to the next jump.Music did the course great except she went to fast through a combination & knocked a rail, & at one turn, Jasmine had trouble getting her to make a tight turn to a 5 foot board jump.Dana told Jasmine her mistakes & Jasmine said "I noticed what happened also." Dana replied "well try to not make those mistakes when you dthe course this time.Jasmine did the course again & did everything perfectly, except for a very trick turn.Jasmine did the course again & this time, Musci & Jasmine did not knock down any rails."Great job!" Dana told her 18 y/o daughter after she had gone through the course for the 3rd time.Dana said to her "Your doing great, & you know hwere your making mistakes & you are correcting them.I just wanted to see how you are doing.As I can see, you & Fire Music are quite a team.If you ever need any help with something, feel free to ask me." Jasmine said "ok," & Dana said "Iwhen your done with Music, come see me int he barn office, we have to talk about some shows you should probably enter with your horses." Jasmine nodded, & Dana walked out of the arena.After walking out Music, Jasmine brought her back to her stall & untacked the chestnut Hanoverian mare.Then she put on Music's halter, gave the mare a carrot & turned out Music in one of the mare's pastures with You Wish, Miss Demeanor, Miss Congeniality, Mink & Sterling Beauty.Then Jasmine walked up to the barn office.Dana was at the desk in the barn office, looking over a list of horse shows."Hi Jasmine," Dana said.the 18 yo girl said heel o back & sat down on the couch in the barn office.Dana told her "I've been looking over some horse shows, & I think you should enter that 4 star grand prix 3-day event & Fox Wood acres with Mark of Honor.Then I think youy should also ride Fire Music in that 3-day event.Also, there is a showjumping grand prix show at Pine Valley stables.You could enter Fire Music in that show also.Arianna's going to be competing there also.Finally, there is a hunter/jumper show & West Wind Farm with some young horses classes.You could enter Silver Tshockwave in some of the classes there for young horses." Jasmine agreed with her mom & added a few other shows she could take her horses to.Dana agreed with her & they discussed horse shows a little while onger before Jasmine went up to the house for lunch & to change out of her riding clothes.
