Continued from Member's Riding board
"hi girls! Holly, CP asked me if you could school Apple, one of the new lesson ponies for her." I said.
"Ok." said Holly excitedly. Emily was already hugging Flick who was ingnoring his supper to see his girl. Emily tacked Flick up in his stall. Flick just stood there and appeared to be enjoying Emily's presense. I helped Holly tack up Apple. He was well behaved. Emily was already out in the ring hacking Flick when Holly and I got out there. I helped Holly mount."Remeber, keep your guard up. You don't know Apple and he's differnent from Mini." I told her. "I know Mommy." She said. Emily walked Flick over to me. "She looks cute on him." she said. "Yeah, she does. I hope he's as good to ride as he was to tack up." I said. "I'm going to got on a trail ride. I'm going to the creek trail." Emily said. "Ok, when do you plan to be back?" I asked her. "Umm, in a 1/2 an hour at the latest." she said. "Ok, have fun." I said. Once Flick and emily left the ring in told Holly to trot. Apparrently, apple wasn't as smooth as Mini because Holly bounced around alot. "Try to sit still in the saddle."
I said. She checked her diagonal and tried her best to sit still. after awhile she started to get used to him. "Walk a min. Holly. Then I want you to canter him. Sit talk in the saddle and keep your heels down." I said. Holly did as she was told and everything was ok. She cooled Apple out and then dismounted she led him into the barn and untacked him. Just as she put apple away Emily led Flick in. She untacked him as Holly tacked Mini up. Holly hacked Mini. She was good. she cooled her out and untacked her. I made sure all the horses were away and we took the dogs up to the house and we all had our supper.
