*she grooms her buckskin stallion and tacks him up. the horse blows into her face lovingly. He lowers his head to be bridled and playfully grabs the flash noseband in his teeth. Maggie wrestles it away from him then leads him to the riding ring, with Desert chewing the reins the whole time. she takes the reins out of his mouth, then mounts him and warms him up. once he is thoroughly warmed up, she trots back to the barn where Mikki is leading HC out of. "Ready to go cross country?" She asks eagerly. "Yeah, we're ready, just let me check Desert's boots" Mikki instructs, handing HC's reins to Maggie. she holds the young stallion's head away from her horse's head, keeping them from fighting. Mikki makes sure the splint boots are adjusted properly, then takes HC's reins back and mounts him. "The ride out will be his warm-up, lets trot" Mikki tells her. they both trot out to the cross country course and school over fences with heights ranging from 2'9-3'6. Then they walk back, bathe their horses and clean their tack.*
