Date Posted: 08:48:44 11/29/02 Fri In reply to: Julia (Ava) 's message, "Riding Ele and Bold Eagle" on 15:22:03 11/28/02 Thu I was walking Eagle out just as Helen was coming in with Exoctic Appeal. My mom had given her Exoctic when she thought her new job would be more substanial. "So, I see you are going to ride Eagle." she smiled as Eagle whickered to Appeal. "Yup, well, I guess I should go." "Okay." Helen led Exoctic on by. I clicked my tongue and led Eagle to the mounting block. He stood still as still as could be. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ As I rode him at a slow walk, his body language said that he wanted to trot. I let him. It was smooth and even. I posted and did sitting. I cantered him and did sitting, 2 point and everything else. When we got to the cross country area, I turned him towards the pony jumps. Most were 1-3 feet, and none higher. Ele jumped 3' 10". I cantered him towards the first jump. He popped over it easily. The next was a tiger trap. He balked and I had to take him back. He jumped it after that, and next was an old fence. He flew over that. I decided to try some of the smaller horse jumps for him. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Conclusion soon.
