Date Posted: 16:53:38 01/18/03 Sat "Kelsey tack up Tori in his XC gear." I said then i went over to my horse trailer and unloaded Lady Godiva. I handed her to Travis and said, "Travis i want you to ride Goddess today because we are going to go and try some XC." "OK" Then Travis walked Goddess to the barn and tacked her up while i led the already tacked up Cinderella down from the ramp. I got my helmet out of the side of the truck and mounted her. Then i led her over to the riding ring and warmed her up while Travis and Kelsey tacked up Goddess and Tori. Once they were all set we headed for the Beginner XC course. Once we got their i told them to warm up their horses. Once they were done i showed them what jumps to do then i cantered Cinders to the end of the small course i told them to do and stopped her in a neat halt and turned her around and yelled to the other end, "KELSEY YOU GO FIRST!" "Ok!" Then she started Tori into a nice rolling canter and headed for the first jump. She and Tori jumped all the jumps with ease and at the end Tori gave a little buck to show how happy he was to be out in the open. "Nice work Kelsey." i said. "Thanks!" I smiled then yelled to Travis, "Ok Travis your turn!" "Ok!" He started Goddess out slow to get used to her style of jumping. He guided her over the jumps with ease and when he got to the end he said, "WOW she is a nice calm eventer!" "Ya she is!" "Ok now i have a question for both of you would you guys like to try the course on different horses?" "Ya sure" "Ok then Kelsey you get on Goddess, Travis you get on Cinder and I will hold Tori for you Kelsey." "Ok" They both mounted and checked their stirrups then they went off. Each of them jumped the course easily. Then i told Kelsey to get on Cinder and try it. She jumped the course with ease and then i gave her Tori back and she mounted up on him and i hopped on Cinder. Then we headed back to the barn. When we got back the horses were cool enough to be just untacked and groomed. I led Cinder to the trailer and untacked her and put her tack in the tack compartment. Then i groomed her and put her shipping stuff on. Then i loaded her into the trailer. Then Travis came out of the barn with Goddess. She had her shipping gear on. We loaded her and then i got 2 envelope out of the truck and went into the barn. Then I found Kelsey and gave her the envelope. She opened it and excalimed, "This is a check for $4000 dollars!" "Ya. $500 a week for working at the track and the massage therapist. You worked for me for 4 weeks as of now and that was $2000. Then i am paying you $1000 a lesson with Time." "OH MY GOD! THANKS!!!!" "Your Welcome." Travis looked a little hurt that he didnt get any money. "And Travis this is for you." Then i handed him a check. He opened it and also exclaimed,"WHY DO I GET $4000 DOLLARS?" "Cause i didnt want you to feel left out." "Thanks Shayla." Then he came over and gave me a hug. "Your welcome. Ok you guys are you all done cause i have to go now." "Ok. Thanks for the lessons and the checks Shayla!" They said together. "Your welcome." "Bye" "Bye you guys!"
