Date Posted: 14:54:27 02/03/03 Mon *Travis feeds his the three horses, then cleans their stalls. Once the stalls are clean he works with Lily, patiently grooming her and helping her learn to relax. Since she had kicked him, he had been making huge progress in her training. "Guess it took a nasty bruise to teach me how to train you" He tells the mare. She snorts and looks at him nervously and he gently rubs her neck, then she relaxes. He takes her out to the round pen and turns her out. She still wouldnt come back if he turned her out in the paddock, but she was easier to catch in the round pen. Then he gets out Dream and tacks up the arabian. It had been a month since he was gelded and the vet said he was ready to start light work again. Travis takes him on a long trail ride, then untacks him and turns him out in a private paddock. He couldnt be turned out with other horses because he had a tendency to be agressive to them still.
