There is no spoon; there is no Neo to haul off. Neo is a program just like Trinity and the others inside and out of the Matrix. Smith is a virus taking over the programs. The most Neo can discover is they are in their own little hell a matrix outside the matrix and nothing he can do to change that fact, which I expect he discovers and chooses to die or who knows what, maybe Morpheus and a few of the others discover the truth and continue on, their souls broken or at least realizing this is their reality....reads like a Greek tragedy.
