Subject: Any true matrix fan i need help to ressolve a problem

Right, I need help to ressolve a little disagreement i am having between with one of my gf's mates. In the first matrix where the oracle tells neo that he is not the one, surely this is so that he will make the decision to go and save morpheus and thus find out that he is the one by believing in himself. My gf's mate disagrees and says that the oracle always says what is true and doesnt understand why the oracle tells neo this. Please help and email me with ur thoughts, cheers
