Subject: 4th Matrix?

The producers along with the brothers themselves have said that there will not be a 4th movie. Is that really true? With the success of Reloaded and Revolutions the idea of a 4th movie is normally a grantee. Whether it is made by the Wachowskis or not...well. It is most likely that the series is done with, but it was 25 years before the 4th Star Wars. Regardless here is the first 4 pages of a screen "treatment" for another matrix film. The treatment takes place before Neo and Morpheus but includes characters such as the train man and merv even deals with the creation of Smith. It starts out something like the first film but (having read the entire thing) it does change drastically.

MATRIX: INSURRECTION

A shrill howl shatters the dark silence. A smooth stealth like craft ascends into frame. A shot along the dorsal running lights reveals the ship’s designation, the THEOS.

--

A piercing cut leads into the operation deck. The cold hum of the computer core offsets the smooth décor of the Theos. Panning across a young dark-haired man is seen in a coma like stasis on a futuristic cot or gurney. Rev, the man, suddenly quakes as if from a shock.

--

Inside the Matrix Rev combats a mysteriously expressionless man, an Agent. The agent is matching block for punch with Rev and soon sends Rev hurling across the empty warehouse.

--

In the Thoes Jet, Theos’ female operator, slides from behind her consult and calls out for Serial. Serial appears as if from no-where and ask, “what the hell is going on.” The middle aged captain leans over Rev as he is told that Rev is fighting and agent.

--

Rev picks himself up from the ground and stands ready for another attack. The agent advances again matching blow for blow with Rev. In desperation Rev catches the right arm of the agent and sends him crashing to the ground. While the agent is still in the air Rev turns to run with time stopping speed. As the agent slowly begins to stand Rev dives out a nearby window.

--

Rev painfully lands on a dumpster. Cringing Rev rolls of the top of the dumpster and onto his feet. Stumbling into a run he cuts across the busy street the agent behind him.

Rev turns the corner and pushes his way through the dense crowd. He sees a traffic cop and with lighting speed takes his gun and begins shooting at the now closing agent. The crowd scatters as the agent doges each shot and returns fire. The cop is caught in the return cross fire and falls dead.

Again Rev turns to trying to get away and the agent to the pursuit. Rev makes is about a block when he comes across a black crowbar. Kicking it with his foot it ascends straight into his hand just has the agent reaches for him. Rev brings around the bar and strikes the agent in the side of the head sending him over the hood of a nearby car.

The agent stands to his feet unfazed. Rev makes his way through a nearby alley and into the back of a small building. He passes through a bar and a Chinese kitchen before reemerging on the street. Sirens can be heard in the background.

Rev runs into the street and stops the first approaching car. He forces the driver out with brute force and takes the car.

A few seconds later the agent emerges from the restaurant and looks around. With a pan the agent slides out of frame. The edge of a building explodes as a fire truck cuts the corner into it, the agent is the driver.

The fire truck stays in hot pursuit of the stolen car and reaps havoc on the surrounding city. Eventually both vehicles emerge on to an interstate. Rev looks up as he is covered by the shadow of a helicopter. The combat chopper is piloted by Serial and flies out in front of the two land vehicles. It begins to hover and turns facing the oncoming cars. Serial fires two rockets into the fire truck.

The front of the emergency vehicle explodes into flames and drifts off the median coming to a crashing halt.

--

Rev returns to consciousness as he is unplugged by Serial. He sits up and groans with pain. Serial ask him what went wrong but Rev can’t explain it. He says, “it seems like the bastards were waiting on me.” Serial is concerned about their next target.

--

Jeremiah Johnson sits in uncommonly dense traffic. He looks down at his speedometer and makes a comment about not even moving. Frustrate he shifts into park.

--

Arriving at work late Jeremiah ascends in the elevator of the Arista Records building. Exiting from the elevator onto the 15th floor he receives a call on his cell phone. Its is boss, a record producer. Jeremiah enters the studio and the producer continues to lecture him over the phone from across the room. Jeremiah explains that there was some kind of explosion on the interstate and sets down behind the mixer. He presses the intercom button and tells the performer she can begin.
