Subject: New Theory?

So forgive me for testing this new theory out on you guys....

Perhaps it seems a little too much like an 'easy way out' but hear me out. [ I just came back from seeing the iMax - GREAT! ]

So after Neo revives Trinity, it cuts to everyone back in the 'real world' on the Neb. It doesn't ever show ANY of the characters going back INTO the real world via a payphone.

Is this perhaps a ploy by the machines to make Neo, Morpheus, and Trinity THINK they are in the real world, but it just a 'mockup' of the real world by the machines running the matrix? And Neo can 'feel' that he isn't in the real world, and can kill the sentinal?

Keep this in mind: The Arcitect says "choosing this door will cause a major crash in the system, killing everyone plugged into the matrix." Well, if everyone plugged into the Matrix was killed, BOTH of those Captains at the end [explaining to the Neb crew the downfall of Zion] would be dead, along with everyone plugged in on the Neb. Also keep this in mind: We never see the result of the door the keymaker leads Morpheus too "That door will lead you home, Morpheus. Neo, you will know which door." We never see Morpheus, Trinity or Neo return to the real world.

Downsides to this theory: How the hell does Link [I think it is link: the black guy with dreads that co-pilots with Morph.] get into the Matrix? Is he really IN the Matrix, or is it an illusion?

Goodnite you guys, let me know what you think.

-Jeff
