I find all three of your conclusions very good. They sound much better than others I've read like; neo just being lost inside one of the VR programs he wrote in Matrix#1 for sell to his undergroung buddies. But what if zion is part of the matrix as well? Perhaps we are in for an ending or awakening that no one expected. I just hope that it isn't that neo is lost in one of those VR programs. Or worse, have it end-up being something like the 13th floor.

This would be a shocker:

let's just consider for a moment all the religious and philosophical rhetoric, can it be plausible what so ever that humanity, whether because of evolution it self or because of cataclismic events, have become machines themselves? I mean, what is being alive? life is just the highest level in a hierarchy of organization of chemicals-molecules-atoms-subatomic particles-neutrinos, etc.....Sounds crazy, but here me out.......can a machine with highly advanced AI evolve into more than it was programed to be? That would be called evolution! Individuals do not evolve, populations of a species do-through genetic drift, genetic shift, mutation, etc. Perhaps AI evolved into the next level in the hierarchy of organization for we are merely machines made of the same atoms as the devices of our abiotic world.

~~~What if humanity became so advanced that for whatever reason, we only exist as uploaded entities in a total machine world. Then, our purpose - as is now - would be to attempt to understand who or what created everything-the architect. And perhaps, the matrix was created by us humans as our perpetual perseption of our ancient world. This would have to be the case in order to take into account human factors such as choice, awareness of self, & curiosity.

It is early, and I have not had my coffee, so sorry if all this sounds a little looney. But this story is meant to do two things: Make money & make us consider what reality is..............I still haven't read or heard of any scientist having any hypothesis on what happened before the big bang..........perhaps, we just got rebooted or reloaded=)
