(I'll do the whole grainsack thing ^^ Frgive me if I did this... wrong...)

"Urgh..." The rain was coming faster and Voko was getting agitated.

"Isn't there anyplace at all to stay? Don't you know anybody out here?"

"Not here," she gave the kitten a wry grin. "This is my first time in Jintal."

"Well," Jyleal wriggled free and landed on the slick cobblestones. "*I* intend to sleep dry tonight. he turned and began trotting.

"Where ya going?" Voko followed the kitten, looking to and fro.

"I dunno. Anywhere. I got a hunch." he turned down an alleyway, peering into the gloom- even though it was midday, the storm clouds had done their work.

Voko knew better than to question Jyleal's 'hunches'. They seldom led them wrong.

"Well... nothing here," Jyleal said. "But there's some burlap we can use for a makeshift tent." Voko stood in the rain as Jyleal jumped forward and seized a corner of grimy fabric with his teeth and pulled back. of course, it was full of sand 9but Jyleal didn't know that) and it proved fdifficult, so Voko helped him out before grabbing the other and easily heaving it away.

And she found a trapdoor.

Voko and Jyleal exchanged glances.

"...you go in first," the tiny black kitten said softly, fidgeting. Voko bent down and lifted the door, looking at the staircase and leaning into it, shouting above the roar of rain. "Hello!?"
