I can understand that changing the sounds of music just to earn a few extra dollars could be very upsetting to the listeners who enjoyed their original music. However, what I fail to really understand is how we can deem it such a negative action when we have never faced the same decision ourselves? It may sound naive and a little childish, but I cannot understand how someone can openly protest or ridicule a band for such a decision when the same person has never been in the situation. Couldn't it be true that some bands sincerely would like to change the sound or style of their music? It doesn't necessarily have to be to become more popular, maybe just because they have grown and matured to a new level of music?
