I also looked on meetphil.com and something struck me about not only his song "back door" but the website in general. I was reminded about the internet homepages reading and the kind of work they do for self presentation and self narrative. The website is plain, with a single illustration that looks like a personal drawing of a small boy staring woefully at a guitar on the ground. It seems to give off a "simplicity" vibe along with a feeling of heartache and meloncholy that characterize much of his music.
