Subject: Hard Core vs. Soft Shell

Examples of the concepts of hard core and soft shell music keep coming to me after our class on thursday. Also, I think that this applies to much more than music. There's hard core and soft shell environmentalism, politics, art, films, people. Here are a few more I thought of; Las Vegas vs. Monaco, Cancun (then) vs. Cancun now, Tupac vs. Ja Rule, Beatles vs. Backstreet Boys, Yo' MTV raps vs. TRL, Ralph Nader vs. John Kerry, 'Save the whales' vs. 'Save the mosquitoes', Matt Dameon vs. Ben Afleck. These just popped in to my head- let me know if you agree or disagree or can think of more.
