I agree with Goffman, because I do think people play various roles in life. I think one has to look at this particular point of view as situational. For example, informal versus formal situations. I act and talk differently to an adult than I would towards a peer. Another good example would be one's behavior both verbally and nonverbally during a interview. One's word choice, the way he/she dress, and so forth is different than how one would act on a daily basis. I also believe that every role one plays portrays an aspect of who he/she is.
