Montreal, PQ - The Montreal Marauders management team has moved into an aggressive stance regarding star left winger Paul Kariya. Sources within the organization indicate that Kariya could be had for as little as a couple draft picks or prospects.

"Paul Kariya would jump onto many teams' top line," opined the source, "and it wouldn't take much to pry him away. [Team GM Sean] Gallagher wants to give some of the youngsters on the farm an opportunity, so Kariya seems to be odd-man out."

Kariya's hefty contract may be a sticking point, but the Maurauders are supposedly willing to listen to any offer.

"A good 1st rounder and a prospect might do the trick," said the source.
