The removal of Craig Conroy from the lineup for tonight's game against the Edmonton Eagles has led to speculation that Conroy or some other member of the Saskatoon Silos will be moved before the trade deadline.

Silos head coach Bob Hartley has indicated that Conroy's absence from the lineup is nothing more than an opportunity for the center to heal some wounds. The statement has done nothing to quiet the trade talk, however.

Others rumored to be available include recent acquisitions Andreas Dackell and Ville Nieminen. The return being requested is said to be picks and/or prospects. The Silos have not confirmed these rumors, so this also falls under the heading "speculation".

The Silos have had a tough stretch since the season's midpoint, leaving them eight points out of a playoff spot. The team was not expected to make the playoffs this season, but showed signs in the first half that they might make a run. Instead, they appear to be continuing with the rebuilding mode that they've been in the past couple of seasons.
