(HALIFAX)-A GWHL record 117 points. The first team in the G to score 400 goals. The only team with 5 players tallying 90 points or more. The only team with 2 defensemen tallying 70 points or more. It all sounds impressive, but the only stat that Halifax Coach Andy Murray is interested in is 3-7-0 as in the Harpoons record in the last 10 games.

"There is no doubt about it, right now we stink," commented the bench boss. We have not been getting it done at all lately."

When queried about the cause of the slide the coach replied, "I think the boys have just become a bit too comfortable at the top of the table, they are not doing the little things that got them there."

"The coach is right, we do stink," echoed Captain Rob Blake. "We need to get ourselves together. We're the top team in the GWHL and we have to start playing like it."

"We've been close before," stated Sean Burke, one of the few players left from the original dispersal draft. "This is our best chance yet. It's up to us not to waste it."

What's in store for the Harpoons? Coach Murray wouldn't tip his hand but the smart money is betting on line changes for Game #! vs the Steeltown Hammers.
