(HAMILTON)-In the end it was a suffocating effort by the Halifax defense that told the tale in Friday's game at Stelco Stadium. Halifax limiting Steeltown to just 15 shots on goal finished the stubborn Hamilton team off 4-1 taking the Eastern Conference Semi-Final series 4 games to 2.

Lead by Marian Hossa's goal and 2 assists the visitors scorede twice in the second and twice in the third, even though they dominated the first outshooting Steeltown 12-4.

"Our guys decided to put the boots to Steeltown tonight, they played a very solid defensive game," commented Coach Andy Murray after the tilt.

"I'm just happy to help my team win," said Hossa, the games first star. "But we can't rest now. We play a very good London team tomorrow and they'll be rested."

Other goalscorers for Halifax were Milan Hejduk, and Brian Leetch in the second, and Shawn Bates in the third. Replying for Steeltown was Kristian Huselius.
