Another year and another early golf season for the Isles this year. One thing is for certain though, and that is that the Isles are in far better financial shape than they were going into last season. GM Vansickle's reputation certainly followed him here. A strong financial situation is usually in place but his teams have a reputation of "choking" in the last ten games leading up to the playoffs. Certainly the financial plans cost the Isles a playoff spot this year. GM Vansickle decided to take advantage of the opportunity to rid himself of Mariusz Czerkawskis contract but his goals were sorely missed after the trade deadline.

Going into next season, the Isles expect nothing less than a playoff spot. However to get there, GM Vansickle is said to be looking to make a lot of changes. The team just isn't his style yet so expect a lot of changes from top to bottom during the offseason in P.E.I.

Random Quote of the Week from potato land:
Keon Trophy Finalist Dave Scatchard on his award nomination: "Stopping the other team from scoring was always natural for me. Now if I could just keep Messier away from me."
