(HALIFAX)-In an effort to relieve the logjam at the forward wing positions and free up some payroll, the Halifax Harpoons delat away right winger Peter Bondra today to the B.C. Huskies for the Huskies 1st round pick in 2009 and their 2nd in 2008.

"We appreciate all that Peter has done for us over the years and we still think that he can play the game at this level," began GM Stephen J. Holodinsky. "That said we needed to make room for Vaclav Prospal and he was the one to go."

For B.C.s part GM Robert Rutkowski was heard to say that he was "looking forward to pairing Bondra with Mario Lemieux and expecting 50 goals from the sniper."
