Tommy Salo will be packing his bags and heading for the Saskatchewan prairie...maybe.

Salo's rights were acquired from the Yellowknife Blades in exchange for defensive prospect Dirk Tarnstrom. Salo, however, is a free agent, so it remains to be seen if he'll end up in Saskatoon.

How this impacts current Silos' goaltender Curtis Joseph's future with the club remains unclear, but it seems highly unlikely that the cost-cutting Silos will keep two large salaries on their roster. There were rumors of another deal in the works involving Joseph, but few details were available.
