The Calgary Cougars are playing their best hockey in years, as they won their team eighth straight game today against the London Lasers. Even more phenomenal, is that those 8 wins have come in 8 days. The Cats started this stretch of consecutive games with a 2-1 loss to the Ottawa Oaks. However Calgary rebounded and won their next eight games.

A big part of the Cougar�s recent success is the play of Freddy Braithwaite, who now leads the league in save percentage (.901) and is second in goals against average (2.75). However Trevor Kidd has also looked very decent, earning a pair of wins in the streak.

Calgary faces a huge game tomorrow against the Victoria Totems. The Cougars currently have a 3 point lead on Victoria, however the Totems have a pair of games in hand, so a Cougar victory is essential to give them a little more breathing room.
