I know Freeware is not the correct term but I can not find a better one.
Non-commercial users can use it freely with the only condition that they need to, at the end of live of the beta version (30 days release date related), update to the new version that is always available 30 days, more or less, after previous release date. I want active participants that send bug reports and improvement ideas to the last release not accommodated ones using a very old release.
This obligation is also to hassle commercial users (and I know they are many already), that disrespect the beta versions license terms.
You do not like the terms, don’t use it, you are the one who loose the opportunity to work with a fine tool.
