Thanks for the reply, thats what I was hoping. Its also a stainless shaft, but If I have a professional welder do it for me it should be no problem right ?

My dad has worked metal fabrication all of his life, but he did mostly spot welding. I have been asking him to teach me to weld, but I dont think he remembers how to stick weld.
