Try posting this question to Ed Craig. He has extensive experience with this kind of equipment mention the brand of excavator as well if you dont know the analysis of the metal.

LOg on to www.weldreality.com and open the thumbs-up/thumbs-down icon to the left (questions & opinions or something like that)

Ed dislikes long chatty questions and his answers are usually quite concise- 20 words or less... but he has been known to telephone at his expense if the situation warranted it.
