Hi, i need to weld two iron horseshoes for a gift. I don't know any welders, so i'm thinking about doing it myself.
I've searched the internet and found mention of using 6 volt or 12 volt batteries (car or tractor) for welding.
I also found a small butane pencil torch that, though will not weld iron, will heat it up enough for brazing.
I need advice- whether i should try to weld using a car battery or try to braze them.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thank You.
The links i found.
