I'm sure that the miller 250 and the lincoln powermig are sweet machines, but he's asking for a cheaper machine to weld some 1/8" steel for a small trailer.

Along those lines, just about anything will work, even a cheap stick welder.

Along these lines I've been pleasently surprised by a friend's Harbor Freight special, Chicogo electric 220V mig, very nice welds for a cheap machine. I've also very happy with my little Hobart Handler...
