I think (I will speak for myself), the trick is to feel so good about who I am, about myself, that what *he* does doesn't really affect me.

I had to get hurt first to learn how important it is not to base my expectations totally on a man. I had to learn to protect my emotions. I agree with you about jealousy. I have my own little philosophy about that. I strive not to be jealous.

Like yourself, I like to think of the world all as friends, because I believe there is enough beauty to go around.

But I also understand how Annon felt. That would be so hard to deal with after being married to someone (presumably trusting them) for 30 years.
