I would place myself in the fifth stage of Moral development. It seems to coincide with how I operate in teh world and the decisions about ethical or moral decisions. Having said that, I understand the implications of Stage 6 and even though I may operate there some of the time from a realistic day to day practice I believe myself to be at stage 5.

It's difficult for me to say in regards to Erikson's theory but I do believe myself to probably be in stage 7 or somewhere between 6 and 7.

Both theories are very relevant but they work in very different ways. Moral development is important for one to maintain a relationship with the rest of the community. Identity is important for someone in order to fulfill your goals in life and reach self fulfillment. Of course, I have some issues with Erikson's theory, it seems to be lacking some important aspects of identity. Especially how ones identity is defined in context of the community. It seems that it doesn't really satisfy this requirement. Also I am not sure anyone could make objective self observations in this area.
