My name is Kathryn, but most of my family and friends call me Katie. I'm really looking forward to this class; it is my first class in the Masters of School Counseling program. I don't have orientation until August. I thought taking a summer course would help get me acquainted with the program and material. Memphis has always been my home. In December 2009, I graduated from the University of Memphis with my Bachelor of Arts in Communication. Pursuing a degree in counseling has always been a goal of mine. At this moment, I do not have a preference between elementary or secondary counseling. I want to learn more about both groups before making any decisions. Aside from the school aspect of my life, I love spending time with my family and friends, cooking, and watching my favorite TV shows (like GLEE and Criminal Minds).
