hHi all, i've just found shiny six messageboard, my name is Dave Caffery, i was in A troop, 6 Bty, between 74 & 77, a few of the names i remember are, Steve Gunning, Col Beedham, Linus, Wishbone,(Neil Whiston), Chalky White, Taff Jones, John & Terry Dalquin, Bragger , Gobby Bobby, Kim Peacock, Vic Sivier, Napper Noble, Simmo, Rupert,(who i used to race in the ferrets), Pete Budd, to name but a few. Can anyone remember me, it would be nice to get in touch?

Eh up dave nice to see u found the site.And ofcorse we remember you how could we forget.What you been doin with yourself all this time,not in jail i hope.Myself i work in the north sea for my sins and just enjoy life.Will you be goin to the gathering in lippy ? .I will try my best to get there.but you must go you will have a great time.Iv been to some of the gatherings and there great and you cant stop been 19 again ?ALL DAFT AND DRUNK,LOL. well hope to hear from you soon all the best col.

Hi Bert, Thanks for your reply, when i left 6 i started work at Kellogg's (yep the cornflake people) there for 26yrs 12 of them as shop steward & chief shop steward, i was retired on health grounds & now work for myself supplying dj eqpt & dj'ing at northern soul venues all around the uk,so most weekends am busy. Sorry its taken so long to reply been working abroad most of summer, hence no chance of attending reunion. Been married 26 years to my lovely wife kath, & have a 16yr old son David allen who's just passed all his gcse's. Its great to hear from you (col) bert, Lets keep in touch, Dave C.

hi, I have just seen your message, i live in scarborough, north yorkshire, i worked for 25 years at RAF Fylindales on the ny moors and retired on full pension early, have been married to Diane for 18 years, am at the moment at my brothers Terry d'Alquens home in Lipstat as we come here every year for a week over the new year period, we also meet up with Neil Whiston, we were all together on new years eve for a right good do. No one was told about the reunion in Lipstat in October and Neil and Terry live here so, not very good or we would have all gone, might see you at the next one.

Plenty of notice about the gathering in Lippstadt on this messageboard and the website (Regt'l one as well) and also on facebook. local boys who turned up included Steve Gunning, Dai Rowlands, Ron Allen, Jim Leggate, Jock Reid,
Craig Mclachan would have been there but had to return to UK at the time.
It begs the question why bother with a website or messageboard if pepole dont log in and check whats going on.
