I still ride my bike past there every day, and a few times I have been afraid for my own life because of people who obviously knew Nathan. Just a week or so ago, I was just turning onto the road from the East when I heard a high pitched horn honking.. someone in a suped up car was honking in memory of Nate as they slowed past the spot where he died. Then, to my horror, the person driving then stomped on the gas and started toward me at an extreme rate of speed. I found it ironic that this person would be "saluting" Nate one minute and then defying the cause that those who love him are trying to support by trying to deter street racing. This person was not only risking his own life, but mine as well. I'm sure my 13 year old son would love to hear why his mother was killed by such an idiot.
