Persoanlly, I think Seishirou is evil, but only to prove the point that there's redemption for everyone. Seishirou commits heinous crimes, seemingly witout any remorse, but...in spite of stuff that would put him in Hell, he still gets Subaru's love. He had the opportunity to redeem himself through Subaru--arguably, he did redeem himself through his own death. On the other hand...he did refuse Subaru's love.
